how to drag to move large areas of text in ms word

You know how to move text in a Microsoft Word 2003 document - highlight the text you wish to move, choose "Edit -> Cut" (or press CONTROL-X), move the cursor to where you want the text to appear, and choose "Edit -> Paste" (or press CONTROL-V).

There's an easier way.

Highlight the text you want to move. Now, release your left-mouse button and click on your selected text, keeping the left mouse-button held down this time. Move the cursor to where you want the text to appear and then release the left mouse-button. Voila! No cutting and pasting required!

It may take a few tries until you get the hang of dragging text effectively. Remember, if you make a mistake, press CONTROL-Z to undo your last document change.
