Self Inspections of the Workplace

To implement and maintain the standards and controls which are developed from risk assessments or the company's safety policy, it is important that regular inspections are made of the workplace, to ensure that risks are stable and controls continue to be in place.

To develop ownership and responsibility, we would recommend that these inspections are undertaken by the managers or supervisors who control these areas rather than the managers who act as the Safety Advisors.
