Whilst the company may have a good accident history, there should be discussions with staff covering occupational health problems of staff. These include muscular strains or injuries associated with manual handling and more significantly, skin and respiratory tract sensitisation to certain substances.

It is important that these issues are addressed and controlled in a manner which controls the risk to individuals and protects the company from future litigation. To develop this, we would recommend that the company contracts in the services of an Occupational Health specialist who has knowledge and experience of similar industries.
